JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Director, Compensation to join our growing team.

THE ROLE

As a valued member of the global compensation team, the Compensation Director will provide guidance and support to Leaders and HR Business Partners for all compensation-related activities. They will work with a variety of stakeholders across the Company to develop and present compensation recommendations while maintaining consistency with the compensation philosophy and guidelines.

What You Will Do:

  • In partnership with the VP, Talent & Total Rewards, develop and implement comprehensive compensation programs, including base pay structures, incentive plans, bonus programs, and equity offerings, that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
  • Conduct regular and ad hoc analysis of market trends, benchmarking data, and internal pay equity to ensure our compensation practices remain competitive and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Lead the review and updating of our job architecture, process of job evaluation and classification to ensure accurate job descriptions, appropriate job levels and equitable compensation across roles.
  • Partner with the HR team to integrate compensation programs with performance management processes, ensuring alignment between pay and performance.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, such as compensation consultants and survey providers, to gather market intelligence and support compensation decision-making.
  • Manage equity programs and associated vendor management ensuring adherence to plan design. Monitor burn rate in alignment with peers and current share pools.
  • Drive employee awareness and education of all compensation programs.
  • Aid in the development of global, standard compensation processes and policies, including employee mobility, bonus processing and equity administration
  • Manage the execution of global mobility programs and all employee movement. Partner with legal counsel, benefits team and outside consultants to ensure smooth processing of all aspects of an employee’s mobility process.
  • Serve as a key member of the Sales Incentive Plan Governance team by providing plan design consultation and review.
  • Stay abreast of laws and regulations related to compensation and ensure that the organization's compensation programs comply with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Partner with the sales organizations in the development of sales incentive plans
  • Partner with HRIS on system upgrades, and testing related to the compensation processes
  • Drive process improvement and innovation
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

How You Stand Out:

  • Foundational knowledge and acumen in compensation principles, programs and practices
  • Professional knowledge to support the delivery of compensation solutions and processes within Company policy
  • Project management skills including excellent planning, time management, decision making and organization skills
  • Able to build effective working relationships by taking a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and report compensation information and data
  • Self-motivated to seek out and act on feedback to develop own expertise
  • Strong communication skills, in writing correspondence and effectively presenting information individually or in group situations to customers, clients, and employees in the organization
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Who You Are:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience / education
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in compensation field
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • MarketPay experience is preferred
  • SAP Success Factors experience is preferred
