We are currently looking for an Executive Director for US Colleges that will oversee the 6 locations (Van Nuys, Riverside, Victorville, Montclair, Santa Ana and San Diego). The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for the overall operation and effectiveness of the US Colleges campuses. This position is responsible for ensuring a quality educational experience and maintaining a student-focused environment that leads to improved student learning, retention/persistence, and graduate success. The ED is expected to create strong community partnerships and community presence for all of its campus locations. As an innovative leader, the ED is responsible for continuously reviewing institutional performance, program offerings and operations to serve the needs of our students. The ED must demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and maintain a record of consistent achievement in establishing effective partnerships with local businesses, other IEC institutions, and communities across all its campuses.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all areas of US Colleges campuses, including earnings, expense management, accreditation standards, strong community partnerships, budgeted start, retention, and collections goals
  • Establish and monitor staff and institutional improvement goals
  • Establish and develop operational policies and procedures to improve academic and administrative functions.
  • Provide direction for staff training and development programs to enhance individual and organizational performance.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training of staff; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining staff; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Education, Experience, and Skillset

  • Five to ten years’ experience as a Non – TIV proprietary school director, or comparable management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Master’s Degree desired.
  • Strong understanding of state and government regulatory procedures and compliance.
  • Budget preparation and management skills.
  • Successful track record of energetic leadership, accomplishments and vision.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant analytical and strategy experience preferred.
  • Highly proficient in using Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver the same to audiences of varying seniority to gain organizational commitment and alignment.
  • Strong work ethic, with an effective combination of business acumen, sound decision-making, and commitment to action; ability to act in a decisive, urgent and committed way to achieve results; remain focused on deliverables and leverage resources to reach goals.
  • Strong leadership skills, self-motivated individual contributor who is able to execute to drive outcomes with limited supervision.
