Job Summary
Minnehaha Academy has a seasonal opening beginning in the 2024-2025 school year for a Head Boys’ Basketball Coach. This coach will oversee and lead the entire Minnehaha Academy 6 th -12 th grade boys’ basketball program. This person will report to the Athletic Director.
Job Duties
Oversight of the entire boys’ basketball program, grades 6-12
Planning and coordinating all schedules and practices for the high school teams
Work closely with the middle school boys’ basketball coaching staff to create a cohesive program
Athletic development of all boys’ basketball players
Assist in the selection of assistant boys’ basketball coaches
Clear and regular communication with players and parents
Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
Preferred Qualifications
Experience coaching boys’ basketball with demonstrated success at the high school or collegiate level
Ability to continually display integrity and fairness while coaching
Experience working with and developing other coaches
Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes, their families, coaches, and staff
Strong communication skills to effectively work with student-athletes, their families, coaches, and staff
Ability to relate the Christian faith to learning, life, and basketball
