Head of Ecommerce
Position Overview: The Head of eCommerce will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our eCommerce business, from strategy development to execution. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong business acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability in the digital space. You'll bring a passion for people-management, and a deep understanding of omni-channel eCommerce business strategy. Working hand-in-hand with Analytics, Product Management, Sales, Marketing and Operations, you'll have critical insight into all aspects of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of P&L: Take full ownership of the eCommerce P&L, setting revenue and profitability targets, and implementing strategies to achieve them.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the eCommerce budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI and drive business growth.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of eCommerce professionals, including eCommerce managers, digital marketers, analysts, and developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- SEO and SEM: Develop and execute comprehensive SEO and SEM strategies to drive traffic, increase conversion rates, and improve search engine rankings.
- Multi-Million Dollar P&L Management: Manage multi-million dollar eCommerce P&L with a focus on achieving revenue and profit targets.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement eCommerce strategies aligned with overall business objectives, identifying new opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Comprehensive Digital Marketing Plan Development & Execution including Partnerships, Marketplaces (ie. eBay), SEO, SEM, Ad and Affiliate Networks, social media, blogs, E-mail lists, and sms outreach campaigns.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, IT, and product development, to ensure alignment and integration of eCommerce initiatives.
- Analytics and Reporting: Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to monitor eCommerce performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize business outcomes.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Manage relationships with eCommerce platform providers, technology vendors, and other external partners to drive operational excellence and ensure seamless execution of eCommerce initiatives.
- User Experience Optimization: Continuously optimize the online shopping experience to enhance customer satisfaction, increase conversion rates, and drive repeat business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 8-10+ years of experience in eCommerce management, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue and profitability.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce technologies, platforms, and best practices.
- Proficiency in SEO, SEM, and other digital marketing strategies and tactics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Proven ability to manage multi-million dollar eCommerce P&L and budget effectively.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
