Human Resources Director

Citadel is seeking a Human Resources Director to join their team! As a Human Resources Director, you will be working closely with the Facility Administrator and Department heads to oversee the payroll process and serve as the HR resource for the skilled nursing facility. This individual will manage the hiring and termination within their facility and as well handle the payroll process!

Human Resources Director Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR contact within the facility.
  • Monitoring employee time attendance using company time keeping system.
  • Processing and following facility payroll process.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts to ensure that the organization is effectively and efficiently sourcing and selecting the right candidates.
  • Processing candidate reference checks, background checks, and License Verification.
  • Providing New Hire Orientation to introduce facility rules, policies, familiarizing facility systems, and company benefits.
  • Develop and participate in-service training for facility QAPI, Training and Development, and staff meetings.
  • Develop and drive talent management strategies to ensure effective staffing alignment with the needs of the business. Create plans to attract talent, identify critical talent needs, develop core competencies and corresponding development opportunities, and engage leadership in succession planning.
  • Partner with facility management team to formulate, develop, and implement strategies to achieve organization's vison, mission and goals.
  • Report and document any facility incidents, accidents, and safety hazards to appropriate facility personnel.
  • Partnering with Home Office HR team to resolve matters.
  • Coaching and enforcing facility policies to facility staff.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Human Resources Director Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
  • Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills.


Human Resources Director Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent degree preferred.
  • 4-5 years of experience in Human Resource Management or management of personnel.
  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices.
  • Expertise in State and Federal Employment Laws.
  • Prior experience in long-term care of similar area required.
