Information Technology Manager

The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience tackling various hardware and software problems. The IT Manager will oversee the Information Technology operations at Confidential, ensuring the effective use of technology to support the company’s goals. This role involves managing the IT team, implementing IT policies and systems, and aligning technology initiatives with the strategic objectives of the company. This is an onsite role which requires in-person interactions on a regular basis across a multitude of departments. They should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees and working closely with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and efficiently use existing ones. This candidate should have prior experience working with information technology and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.

Key Responsibilities


Strategic IT Management

  • Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives to meet the company’s technological needs.
  • Align IT objectives and programs with the organization's overall business strategy.


Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs for team members.
  • Hold IT team accountable for individual tasks and deadlines.


Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of hardware and software systems.
  • Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of the company’s IT infrastructure.
  • Manage information technology and computer systems plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.


Project Management

  • Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.


Security and Compliance

  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor and manage cybersecurity threats and incidents, ensuring the protection of company data.


Vendor Management

  • Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effective and reliable IT services.


Support and Troubleshooting

  • Oversee the IT helpdesk, ensuring timely and effective resolution of user issues.
  • Provide advanced technical support and guidance to staff as needed.


Budget Management

  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Monitor IT expenditures and implement cost-saving measures where possible.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, MIS or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • ERP-Hands on management and knowledge of ERP systems.



Certifications:

  • Required – Microsoft Azure Administrator, in Applications and Infrastructure role.
  • Microsoft Office Advanced is required.
  • Completion of all 3: CompTIA A+, Networking+ and Security+ will also be considered favorably.
  • Hands on ERP experience required.


Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a related role.
  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services.


Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security.
  • Experience with enterprise software, databases, and cloud computing.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and service industry-specific technologies is a plus.
  • Strong presentations skills.
  • Previous ERP experience.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and consistently meet firm target dates.
