- Why is this position open? - Position is open as a backfill for team member who left the company. The position is part of a six person team. The loss of resource impacts the team’s ability to fully meet committed initiative (65%-70% of time) and operational work (30%-35% of time).
- Please describe the project work, and what do day-to-day responsibilities look like:
- The candidate should be able to provide strategic planning and execution of high visibility initiatives across Client’s global landscape.
- Collaborate with internal clients, peers, and leadership to influence the modernization of our datacenter, campus and cloud-based security networks and zero trust solutions
- Build a world class infrastructure to ensure the correct data traffic is coming into and exiting the client network
- What technologies or systems will this contingent worker be utilizing? - Check Point Firewall, Zscaler, McAfee proxy and Illumio
- If a candidate does not have all the technologies listed, are there technologies you would consider “similar” and/or “transferable” for this position? yes
- What skills are you looking for in the ideal candidate?
- Preferred
- Check Point Firewall experience ii. Scripting and network automation with ansible (for solutions both on prem and in the cloud) iii. Experience building VPC in AWS, supporting firewalls/WAFs in AWS
- Nice to Have
- Zscaler ii. DDOS
- Five person team domestically
- Works with a peer team in Pune India
- Team members are consistently communicating and sharing information and ideas
- Will this person interact with any other client departments? - Yes, Company wide exposure
- How long is this contract expected to last? Is there a possibility of extension beyond this date? - Four to Six months before conversion to full time
- What does the interview process look like for this opening?
- Initial interview with team leader and department Engineer
- If multiple qualified candidates, one additional interview with a different department Engineer
