IT Desktop Support Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Onsite Support Technician to join our IT team.

The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support for our internal desktop systems, ensuring all hardware and software function seamlessly to support our business operations. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues, managing IT inventory, and assisting in the deployment and maintenance of desktop infrastructure. Responsibilities:

• Provide first and second-level support for all desktop, software, and hardware issues within the organization.
• Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, Windows/Mac/ operating systems, office software, email, and other applications.
• Troubleshoot problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, email, and peripheral equipment problems; make repairs and corrections where required.
• Act as a liaison between users and higher-level support teams, ensuring effective communication and quick resolution of issues.
• Conduct hardware and software inventory database maintenance and reporting.
• Assist with the setup of new employees, including desktop configuration, software installation, and email account creation.
• Ensure security and privacy protocols are followed to protect systems and data.
• Provide training and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
• Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in IT support.
