Job Title: Manager, Demand Planning

Reports to: Brittany Katz, Director Demand Planning

Job Purpose

The Manager of Demand Planning supports the Supply Chain organization by overseeing the monthly forecasting for several categories, building seasonal OTB proposals, and daily analysis of the current business to help increase productivity and drive future sales growth. The Manager will work cross-functionally with merchandising, business performance, distribution, and HQ teams to build, challenge and present comprehensive forecasts for current and future products.

Roles And Responsibilities

Monthly forecast review and demand planning for product categories in your scope:

  • Analyze and report on weekly business trend vs LY vs forecast with analysis on risk and opportunities based on current performance.
  • Review forecast for seasonal and permanent products at SKU level based on performance and update monthly based on trend, product and inventory strategies.
  • Lead the full year sales construction by ensuring alignment between bottoms up SKU forecast and tops down category/season forecast within a marginal tolerance, highlighting root causes of future risks/opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and Business Performance team in reaching alignment on sales forecasts by category and by season.
  • Collaborate with E-commerce team on product forecasting for e-commerce and sales plan construction.
  • Size Open to Buy envelope to support buys of upcoming seasonal collections. Ensure full alignment across all departments and top management.
  • Ensure monthly accuracy of the data associated with major events, new launches, and discontinued items within the forecasting tool.
  • Co-animate and facilitate the monthly forecast review meetings with zone and central merchandising and planning teams.
  • Develop and improve all current reports and forecasting tool.
  • Be proactive to provide continuous improvement.

Job responsibilities

  • You will have a global understanding of Dior strategy and portfolio, as well as key short term and long term strategies to drive global forecasts.
  • You will develop your market knowledge and Dior strategy & approaches in a diversified, dynamic, and highly competitive environment.
  • You will start building strong cross functional partnership with our merchandising, business planning and central teams.

What You Will Achieve In 12 Months

  • You will co-animate monthly reviews with zone and central teams.
  • You will publish monthly forecasting critical metric with key action plan and ensure that global forecasts accuracy targets are achievable and achieved by each category.
  • You will continue to improve existing reporting and tools to sustain Dior growth.

Skills And Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business
  • Minimum 4 years of Supply Chain, Planning, Forecasting and/or related experience
  • Understanding Demand and Distribution Planning principles, APICS/Forecast training and certification effective
  • Strong Analytical skills and ability to provide recommendations
  • Ability to operate and structure large amount of data, very strong knowledge of Excel is required
  • Ability to work with databases, Power BI is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to understand all collaborators’ priorities and context, adapt communication to the counterpart
  • Able to work independently and self-motivated
  • Positive and open-minded in all interactions with counterparts, goodwill is a must
  • Able to structure and synthesize data and processes
  • Result oriented and dead line driven

Profile

The selected candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $100,000 - $110,000 per annually, plus bonus eligibility. The salary offered will be dependent upon the candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
