Pulp & Paper Product Line Management Americas is now looking to fill a new Product Line Manager position. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team that is sharpening our focus on being a business driven product line organization concentrating on profitability and competitiveness.
The Product Line Manager will be responsible for the Polymer and Microparticles Product Lines for P&P North America.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, able to analyze and manage complexity across a broad range of product lines as well as handle the technical acumen of the role. He or she will also not be afraid to take ownership of responsibilities, and will have a strong drive to advance forward each product line strategy roadmaps which will secure and defend the product line profitability and competitiveness for the future.
The position is a hybrid work position located in the Atlanta, GA Galleria office and will report to the Pulp & Paper Americas Product Line Director.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for an assertive individual who will develop, implement and execute a strategic product line roadmap to support the product line competitiveness and profitability.
The role includes both the technical aspect (portfolio management, new product development etc.) and commercial aspect (setting up the pricing guideline, make vs. buy decision making, portfolio profitability management etc.).
It will require excellent communication and relationship management skills. Working cross functionally with all stakeholders (Manufacturing, Sourcing, PSRA, R&D, Engineering & Technology, SCM and Sales) to drive forward our common business objectives.
Long-term capacity planning and footprint optimization
Fulfillment strategy and product service levels
Operative optimization (incl. input to S&OP process, volume allocation)
Technical product support
Claim handling
Working Experience and Education:
University degree in papermaking, chemistry or other applicable field along with strong computing experience
Competencies and skills required:
Fair technical and commercial understanding
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact across multi-cultural organizations
Strong influencing skills, ability to coordinate and drive projects to completion
Experience in strategic and analytical thinking
Decision making skills, ability to work independently
Fluency in Business English (written and spoken), other languages appreciated
Ability to travel globally on occasional basis and 15% of the time in NA as needed
