Job Title: Marketing and Communications Manager

Reports To: Executive Director

The Marketing and Communications Manager will implement JCP-wide communications and marketing efforts, working in partnership with the staff of the Early Childhood Education (ECC) Department, Hebrew School Project (HSP), JCP Programming, and Development. The Marketing and Communications Manager will develop and institute coordinated marketing, branding, and design best practices and utilize outreach strategies to effectively communicate the wide variety of engaging programs and other events for the JCP community.

The Marketing and Communications Manager will genuinely and energetically project a warm, joyful, and welcoming "come as you are" persona, embrace the core values and mission of JCP, and be a relationship builder both within the JCP community and externally. Familiarity with outreach to an innovative, young, diverse, inclusive, and high- profile community is key to this position, as is a wide suite of skills in the technologies used to effectively interact with constituencies in the online space.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with professional staff and key lay leaders to implement strategic marketing and communication plans with a set of measurable objectives and timelines
  • Implement strategies related to sharpening the organizational brand and messaging that furthers the expansion and strengthening of the organization in a more competitive landscape
  • Manage JCP's website, weekly newsletter and other e-blast communications and social media accounts (FB/IG) including collecting content, creating pieces and promoting JCP within brand guidelines
  • Analytically minded and able to respond to data in ways to maximize SEO, and Google ads reach and impact
  • Work closely with the Directors of educational programs to further develop a comprehensive marketing, recruitment and retention strategy and supporting online and print materials that highlight the strength of the programs
  • Increase inquiries, encourage continued affinity to the organization, market specific events, and further support the goals of the school programs
  • Maintain a calendar for marketing and advertising for all events and experiences, including print, website, email blasts, social media promotion efforts and personalized emails, and execute according to that calendar
  • Work with JCP staff and Rabbi to create print and digital materials for use in ritual and life cycle events (e.g. - naming certificates, prayer books, etc.)

JCP is an equal opportunity employer. Salary range for this role is $70,000-$75,000. Please note: this position requires some work on the evenings and weekends (including Shabbat and Jewish holidays) to support community events as needed.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and related software.

Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
