Job Description

Repairtech International, Inc is a state-of-the art FAA repair station providing innovative repair development to clients around the world. Repairtech’s expertise in repair design for mechanical aircraft parts in the commercial and military aviation industries has been utilized since 1978.

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with aviation repair experience to join our team! If you enjoy working under minimal supervision with the freedom and flexibility to directly implement your own repair designs with our own in-house air-conditioned machine shop, have excellent communication skills, can collaborate with our expert machinists and clients while leaving your ego at the door, then we are looking for you. Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing repairs of mechanical aircraft parts.
  • Interacting with clients and FAA as required during the repair design phase.
  • Developing shop routings/travelers upon completion of the repair design.
  • Following the part(s) through-out the repair process.
  • Designing shop tooling.

Required Skills:

  • Graduate Engineer with 2-5 years-experience.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD (2-D is sufficient).
  • Skilled with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing GD&T.
  • Analyze mechanical aircraft components, produce stress analysis and measure parts.
  • Experience with in house manufacturing facility, machine tools, and process.
  • Communicate effectively in English; written and verbal skills a must.
  • Open minded, flexible and a willingness to grow.

Additional Skills for Further Consideration a Plus:

  • Experience with Solidworks.
  • Experience with the FAA ACO or DERs (Designated Engineering Representatives).
  • Engineering lead and/or supervisory experience.

We offer a competitive compensation, benefits and retirement package. pre-employment and random substance abuse testing is mandated by the FAA. Serious candidates will be subject to engineer testing to assess your skills and abilities. You must be local to the Van Nuys area.
