The Head of Operations will work closely with the CEO to expand the capacity, velocity, and intelligence of the founding team. This role will be divided equally between owning essential projects from conception to completion and hands-on day-to-day business operations and optimization work focused on making Cake run smoothly and efficiently. What You’ll Do

• Ownership of functional areas, potentially including HR, Marketing, Accounting, and Finance
• Push forward special projects across business units based on need. Examples include: testing new tools for prospecting, planning industry dinners and conferences, assisting with setting up a blog, and leading a task-force around a specific issue
• Assist with board meeting and capital raise preparation, including strategy/planning and material creation
• Streamline operational tasks and processes to ensure smooth operations and cross-functional collaboration
• Organize and optimize company tools, templates, and internal workstreams, including managing company all-hands and leadership-team meetings

Requirements

• Prior experience standing up or leading functional areas within a startup environment e.g. HR, Marketing, Accounting, and Finance
• Proven experience in operations with a focus on efficiency and process improvement
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong project management skills with experience using tools like Notion or similar platforms
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving
• Familiarity with a very technical product stack
