Our client is a world renowned leader in Leadership Advisory and Executive Search. The Leadership Advisory Partner position is an executive role within the Leadership Advisory Practice, which sits within the firm’s Human Capital Services. The Partner is expected to make a significant contribution to the practice and firm’s growth and success by cultivating trusted relationships with clients and decision makers as well as internally with colleagues in the executive search practice. This role will do this by developing new business to support the growth of the practice, and collaborating with colleagues across the Leadership Advisory Practice in the USA and globally.

The role has three key components: 1) Client and new business development; 2) execution and management of client assignments; and 3) thought leadership and brand development.

PRACTICE BACKGROUND:

The Leadership Advisory Practice was born out of the need to provide the firm’s clients with leadership assessment expertise to support important people-related business decisions. The practice naturally evolved to provide additional services to clients, building on the core services such as executive assessment, executive and team coaching, high-potential identification, succession planning, org design, leadership development, and more.

Leadership Advisory is now fully integrated with executive search services for clients of the firm – a significant pivot that is aimed at meeting client needs across a broader spectrum of talent management activities.

The firm is now positioned to make Leadership Advisory a true lead generator and help position the business strategically against traditional, single service competitors and other HR and advisory consulting firms.

Our client is committed to becoming the firm of choice for leadership advisory services to clients and potential prospects. The responsibilities of a Leadership Advisory Partner will be, yet not limited to:

Business/Client Development:

  • With the support of the practice and partners across departments, contribute to the development of an annual business plan for Leadership Advisory services which includes revenue targets, target clients, and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop leadership assessment, executive coaching, and team/organization development book of business from existing and new potential clients.
  • Negotiate and secure business terms to generate profitable work that fits within the company brand; develop business development/marketing campaigns, which maximize current relationships and penetrate key industries.
  • Ensure individual revenue targets are met or exceeded and develop a multi-year strategic framework to drive revenues and profitability. Expected annual revenues post full onboarding and integration at the Partner level are between $500,000 and $800,000+.

Delivery and Management of Clients:

  • Design and deliver custom leadership services to clients, leveraging the team of experts in leadership assessment and executive & team coaching, as needed, with a view to balance quality and costs.
  • Play a lead role in overseeing execution of leadership assignments with key clients, with the view that delivering high quality work will be the best avenue to grow the practice in a sustainable way.

Thought Leadership and Product Development:

  • Regularly contribute to the development of white papers and thought leadership materials related to the business challenges leaders face.
  • Actively contribute to the design/development of client presentations and proposals, including RFPs for all leadership services.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to develop client relationships and industry knowledge and represent the OB brand.

Qualifications:

  • Masters in I/O, Clinical, or Counseling Psychology, or related field. PhD is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in client facing leadership advisory or human capital consulting roles.
  • Significant business development and sales experience, including the ability to source new leads and prospects and convert them into long-term clients.
  • Experience in the origination and new business, creating custom solutions and custom pricing options, resulting in five and six-figure projects.
  • Experience working in small teams and experience reaching out to internal clients to train those on how to effectively generate interest in their clients to leadership advisory services.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interpret, synthesize, and integrate assessment results into bespoke context-relevant reports and client and candidate debriefs.
  • Exceptional client focus, including the ability to adapt and thrive in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Certifications in as well as experience using multiple and relevant assessments (e.g., Hogan, Wave) preferred.
  • Extreme attention to detail.

While this is a remote position, you may work from one of the firm's 12 USA offices whenever you’d like. Occasional travel to client sites may be required. Compensation includes a competitive draw, transparent commission, full healthcare benefits and more.
