Reporting to the Senior Vice President of ZF's E-Mobility division, the Plant Manager will be responsible for managing ZF's plant in Juarez, Mexico; this includes the direct and indirect management of assembly, production control, materials management, maintenance, EHS, and manufacturing/quality engineering functions and personnel within the facility, as well as the distribution center in El Paso, Texas.

Manage profitability of plant operations, responsible for plant operating results.
Direct activities of plant management in order to achieve optimum results related to cost, service, quality, delivery, and profitability.
Develop and manage personnel planning to include appropriate headcount based on forecasted volume.
Prepare budget for approval, including those for funding and implementation of programs.
Evaluate and implement new processes and/or procedures to reduce cost and/or increase productivity and improve quality; work with engineering in determining manufacturing requirements (i.e. equipment, processes, techniques, objectives, etc.)
Develop short- and long-range plans that assist in meeting business unit goals and objectives within region.
Monitor inventory on-hand, work-in process and delivery to meet customer requirements.
Ensure plant complies with all legal and company rules and regulations (i.e. environmental, health and safety, ZF corporate policy, Maquila, governmental, etc.); manage ITAR processes.
Ensure product quality, operational performance, and profitability (P&L).
Establish and manage business plan and related financial reporting
Ensure compliance with the ZF Quality Management System requirements (ZF QMS) which includes IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and Customer Specific Requirements (CSR).
Your profile as a Plant Manager:
Four-year degree in a technical field
15+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in the automotive and/or electronics industry and experience in the functional fields – operational finance, manufacturing planning, engineering, quality, sales & purchasing
New launch and E-Mobility experience
Proven knowledge and ability in methods of communication, motivation, negotiation, and conflict management skills with a high-level of initiative/drive
Strong knowledge of technical facets of products in addition to flow of products and related materials
In-depth familiarity with financial reporting statements
TS16949 awareness training
Knowledge of 5S and/or Six Sigma problem-solving methodology
English and Spanish language competency – both oral and written
