Bustling, global packaging manufacturer is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee their night shift.
This is a swing shift position working 12 hour days, 2 on/2off with 3 day weekends every other week!
This included competetive salary and an annual bonus!
Job Duties:
Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality
Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved
Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees
Planning, assigning & directing work
Appraising performance
Rewarding & disciplining employees
Addressing complaints & resolving problems
Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis
Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals
Ensures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary
Daily time and attendance completion
Communicates regularly to manager per escalation plan requirements
Job Qualifications:
BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
4+ years of manufacturing experience
Direct supervisory experience
Strong verbal & interpersonal communication skills
Proven ability to work well in group situations
Proven ability to de-escalate situations as needed
Ability to deal effectively with conflict in a mature & consistent manner
Good computer skills
SAP experience preferred
