Position Summary

The Purchasing Coordinator will monitor inventory levels and work closely with various departments to determine appropriate delivery dates of all products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory records of product pars.
  • GL code invoices by working with department managers and accounts payable.
  • Expedite delivery of goods to users; maintain orderly storeroom area.
  • Coordinate with vendor to maintain knowledge and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor vendor product quality control and ensure products are delivered timely.
  • Complete purchase orders via Avendra while maintaining complete accuracy
  • Check invoices for correct prices and quantities.
  • Confer with Purchasing Manager and Receiving Clerks concerning late deliveries and/or suppliers.
  • Assist in stocking and restocking storerooms.
  • Deliver products received to ordering departments.
  • Provide purchasing support to hotel operations staff as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
  • Ability to prepare, inspect, and analyze data, figures and transcriptions prepared on purchase orders and delivery invoices.

Education And Work Experience

  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Experience with Avendra preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
