Purchasing Director
The Purchasing Director will oversee the procurement and purchasing operations for an organization in the chemical industry. This position requires a seasoned procurement professional with a strong understanding of supplier, vendor, and forecasting practices. The Purchasing Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to monitor, control, and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing strategies to reduce costs and improve quality standards.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.
Monitor and control inventory levels and the supply chain.
Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards.
Analyze market trends and make recommendations for changes in the procurement process.
Utilize ERP and QSI systems to manage inventory, costs, and production.
Provide monthly budget reports and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business, finance, or related field.
5+ years of experience in procurement operations.
Knowledge of ISO standards and principles.
Strong understanding of ERP and QSI systems (SAP experience is a plus).
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
