Salary: $140,000 - $150,000

Purchasing Director

The Purchasing Director will oversee the procurement and purchasing operations for an organization in the chemical industry. This position requires a seasoned procurement professional with a strong understanding of supplier, vendor, and forecasting practices. The Purchasing Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to monitor, control, and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to reduce costs and improve quality standards.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.
• Monitor and control inventory levels and the supply chain.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards.
• Analyze market trends and make recommendations for changes in the procurement process.
• Utilize ERP and QSI systems to manage inventory, costs, and production.
• Provide monthly budget reports and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in business, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement operations.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and principles.
• Strong understanding of ERP and QSI systems (SAP experience is a plus).
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
