In this role, the Quality Assurance Engineer will assist in the implementation the company QA program at a production facility in Kennewick, WA (around 140 employees). Alleima Special Metals (ASM) in Kennewick specializes in producing the high precision titanium tube products for very demanding markets like Aerospace and Medical.

In this role, you will report to the Quality Assurance Manager. This includes maintaining and improving ASM's Quality Management Systems to meet industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and NQA-1 and to ensure customer specifications are satisfactorily met. The position has total freedom to act on issues concerning product quality and employee safety and stop work and hold product as needed.

Your Role

• Perform statistical analysis, risk analysis, and control plans.
• Auditor for Quality Systems.
• Perform internal and external audit functions.
• Establish internal requirements for configuration control, product testing and documentation.
• Review and approval of order requirements and flow down of requirements to internal users.
• Final certification of product for compliance to Customer requirements
• Provide metrics where needed to assist in meeting company or customer improvement activities.
• All employees are responsible for participating, supporting, and maintaining compliance to the company’s Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems, policies, procedures, programs, and activities as defined within the company’s published management system documentation.
  
  

About You

We are looking for someone with a B.S./BA degree in Quality or Engineering and 5-7 years of quality assurance/control experience in manufacturing field; preferably in the aerospace industry. Knowledge and experience with ISO 9000. NDT certification, Auditing, Interpretation of Specifications & Requirements as well as knowledge of aerospace requirements are a plus.

• Salary range: $82,000 to 123,000 USD annually with a 10% annual bonus opportunity and annual merit increase eligibility.
