Revenue Cycle Manager

Job Description

As a Revenue Cycle Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire revenue cycle process, including billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement. Your goal will be to optimize the revenue cycle to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided. You will work closely with various departments to improve processes, ensure compliance, and enhance financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire revenue cycle process, from patient registration to final reimbursement.
• Manage billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle performance.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on revenue cycle metrics.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies.
• Collaborate with clinical, financial, and administrative staff to improve processes and resolve issues.
• Identify and implement best practices for revenue cycle management.
• Conduct audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide training and support to staff on revenue cycle processes and procedures.
• Stay current with industry trends and changes in regulations affecting revenue cycle management.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in revenue cycle management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
• Certification in Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) is a plus.
