Senior Business Analyst

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer & General Manager

About the Job:

atVenu’s Senior Business Analyst (SBA) will navigate our systems to pull information and compile it in a way that will allow for complex data driven analyses that will improve business profitability, operations and processes. This is a new position so we need someone who is visionary and demonstrates excellent business acumen; you will not only take direction from the CFO & GM but will partner with the CFO & GM to take our data analytics to the next level. You will be a system savvy data wizard capable of turning metrics into compelling trends/themes that will drive actionable insights. We have access to merch based live event data that no one else in the industry does. You will be well positioned to use your data wizardry to influence our overall strategy.

You Will:

• Lead and execute data analysis projects from conception to completion, ensuring deliverables meet business needs
• Develop and maintain complex analytical models and algorithms to extract insights from large datasets.
• Collaborate with finance, marketing, customer experience and BD to understand, identify and report on KPI’s that will facilitate efficient and sound decision making; will use natural curiosity to define new KPI’s that will allow for further insight
• Analyze and present data in a way that inspires creative thoughts on how we may expand upon new and current revenue streams that enhance customer satisfaction
• Influence process improvements and automation initiatives to drive data quality, efficiency, and accuracy
  
  

You Should Have:

• A degree in an analytical field (e.g. business, computer science, statistics) with 5+ years of experience in BA type role. Additional experience will be considered in the absence of formal education.
• Proven experience curating and manipulating large data sets into insights powerful enough to influence key business decisions
• A visionary, self-starter mindset, with proven ability to transform data into visually appealing models and presentations that can almost speak for themselves
• The traits and characteristics of a high performing project manager; capable of defining project scopes and schedules and delivering results on time.
• Demonstrated passion for digging deep to uncover stories and trends in data
• Interest in fin-tech and the live event space and be excited to influence how we shape the industry we support
  
  

Job Requirements:

• This is an in-office position, based in San Clemente, CA
  
  

Compensation:

• The salary range for our Senior Business Analyst position is $110,000 - $140,000 USD.
