Description:

Sunstate Equipment is seeking an experienced Sr Software Engineer to help us revolutionize the construction industry. They will play an intricate role in driving growth in a highly successful, stable, and highly regarded leader in the space. The ideal candidate thrives on solving difficult challenges that have high impact. They have a proven track record of building scalable and robust cloud first solutions within a highly collaborative environment.

• This role is 100% Remote for candidate's who reside within one of Sunstate Equipment's operating states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Washington. Due to tax laws, we cannot employ outside of these states at this time.
  
  

Required:

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 6+ years of software development using Kotlin, Java, C# or equivalent
• 6+ years building fast and resilient RESTful services
• Very comfortable with relational and non-relational DBs
• Expert in development fundamentals such as OO, Patterns, Unit Testing and Code Reviews
• 2+ years building containerized and/or serverless solutions with elastic scalability in Azure or AWS or equivalents
• Very comfortable building CI/CD pipelines
• Very comfortable with monitoring services such as Dynatrace, Datadog or equivalents
  
  

Preferred:

• Strong understanding of data engineering pipelines and analytics
• Strong understanding of front-end development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Strong understanding of infrastructure
  
  

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Build resilient, performant and secure back-end services that power the Sunstate core platform.
• Design and implement software that meets the delicate balance between time to deliver and perfection.
• Partner with Product Management to learn quickly and adapt to market conditions and customer opportunities.
• Build and care for your products. Complete ownership.
• Elevate the overall technical acumen of the engineering team through mentoring, coaching and technical leadership.
