Server - Food Banquets (On Call)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Greets guest after they are seated and takes drink orders.
  • Takes guests orders and inputs into point-of-sale system. Delivers orders to guests using trays. Observes guests to anticipate guests needs and provides refills of drinks when necessary.
  • Continually check tables in assigned section to remove dirty dishes when it is obvious the guests have completed eating from the plate.
  • Coordinate with food servers, bus persons, and other restaurant personnel in providing quality guest service.
  • Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the restaurant.
  • Delivers guests checks to table, accepts payment, and returns change or credit card receipt.
  • Maintains regular attendance for scheduled work.
  • Must follow the Thoughtful Service Model at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations. Regular attendance required.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. Three to six months of related experience and/or training in a similar food outlet, hotel, or casino atmosphere.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess and be able to maintain a current Health Card, Liquor License, or other required certifications as required by geographical area of the property.

Language Skills

Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills

Basic computer knowledge and experience in point-of-sale system preferred.

Remembering Details, Discriminating Colors, Working Rapidly, Working at Various Tempos, Concentrating Amid Distractions, Remembering Names & Faces, Examining & Observing Details.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
