Leadership and Recognition: Oversee and guide Mentors during your shift, recognizing and rewarding exceptional performance.
Delegation: Delegate responsibilities to shift team members as appropriate to ensure smooth operations.
HR Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the HR Department throughout the hiring process to onboard the right talent.
Orientation: Provide new hires with comprehensive on-shift orientation, following the provided checklist.
Ongoing Training: Continuously train and develop shift members, conducting formal weekly training meetings.
Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of shift members on an ongoing basis, with formal quarterly evaluations.
Discipline Management: Manage disciplinary actions when necessary, utilizing formal methods such as verbal warnings, write-ups, probation, suspension, or termination.
Effective Communication: Maintain open lines of communication by sharing pertinent events occurring during your shift in shift change meetings with relieving supervisors or night staff.
Interdisciplinary Representation: Act as a representative for your shift at the weekly interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings.
Safety Compliance: Conduct safety drills quarterly as instructed by the Lead Supervisor to ensure a safe environment.
Lead by Example: Demonstrate exemplary performance by actively engaging in Mentor duties at a high level.
Program Execution: Execute the program events calendar with precision, contributing to a well-rounded experience for studnets.
High school diploma or equivalent
21 years old or older
Current driver's license and a good driving record
Ability to pass a Utah State background check
Must be willing to make a 8-month minimum commitment
Willing to get Food Handlers Permit before first day of work
Knowledge of Company policies and practices (see training manual).
Knowledge of hiring and discipline policies and procedure.
Knowledge of Mentor job duties and responsibilities.
Knowledge of the issues and disorders that the students are faced with.
Knowledge of medications distributed to students.
Skill in teaching and motivating both staff and students.
Skill in managing available resources and creating a true team environment.
Skill in communication.
Ability to prioritize and organize.
Ability to safely hold or restrain an upset or combative student.
Ability to work effectively with other professionals such as therapists and nurses.
