About The Role

Impact you will make

As a Software Engineer with FinThrive, you will be supporting a group that producing what is called grouping and pricing software that is use by insurance companies and hospitals to do their medical billing reimbursement. FinThrive takes pride in providing healthcare solutions that provide accurate and timely results that benefit healthcare organizations.

What You Will Do

  • Develop new features, maintain and enhance existing functionality
  • Communicate effectively with team members and evaluate alternative business solutions
  • Ensure unit tests written for all new code
  • Seek opportunities to incorporate new technologies into the product’s technology stack when they can add value
  • Work directly with support organizations to resolve production issues
  • Provide production release support
  • Provide application support by analyzing defects, replicating/fixing defects and providing root cause analysis for defects
  • Demonstrate ability to work with team members, onsite as well as remote
  • Participate in delivering team commitments, dev, QA, documentation, etc.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Development
  • Experience in developing software in an Agile environment
  • SQL Server development
  • Cobol: Reading and updating code.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

What We Would Like To See

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Healthcare domain knowledge
  • Familiarity with grouping and pricing methodologies and terminology
  • Experience with InstallShield or other Windows local installer platforms such as WiX
  • Experience with the following:
    • Working with various VM’s in a windows environment
    • Seek development opportunities above and beyond required training
