Specialty/Commercial Casualty Claims Specialist - Remote

We are actively hiring for a Commercial/Specialty Casualty Claims Adjuster!

Your role

As a Commercial/Specialty Casualty Adjuster, you will be responsible to resolve all aspects of 1st and 3rd party injury claims of low to moderate complexity for personal lines as well as our commercial claims. Your duties will require you to become licensed in several states as you will be handling claims in a multitude of regions across the nation.

Your work

• Manage all claims efficiently and effectively to an appropriate resolution with minimal supervision.
• Handle all aspects of liability injury claims of low to moderate complexity to include all coverage, liability and damage concerns.
• Handle 1st party exposures to include Medical Payment coverage, PIP, Uninsured Motorists, Under-insured Motorists claims as well as ADB (Auto-Death Benefit) claims.
• Assist in taking first notice of loss calls (FNOL) and participate in the department phone queue as needed.
• Make coverage determinations and conduct investigative work of a complex nature, advising customers as to accurate course of action related to coverage issues.
• Make appropriate liability determinations based upon the evidence gathered.
• Evaluate any potential for subrogation and initiate an initial notice of subrogation request.
• Develop negotiation strategies to resolve claims effectively and efficiently with insureds, claimants, or representatives of the injured parties.
• Communicate pertinent case facts to a supervisor, manager or committee when appropriate.
  
  

Required Experience, Education, And Skills

• 2 or more years of Casualty claims experience
• BA/BS in business, insurance or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Required to acquire and/or maintain multiple Adjuster’s Licenses (state-specific) within the first 90 days of employment and/or job transfer.

The national average salary range for this position is $62,460 - $69,400. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $56,250 - $83,300. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 7% of eligible pay. We reserve the right to amend these benefits at any time and actual compensation will be determined at time of offer.
