Staff Accountant

DLL Wayne, PA

The General Staff Accountant will be responsible to book journal entries and reconcile accounts associated to assigned areas. Primary focus will pertain to fixed assets, accumulated depreciation, banking transactions, and other general accounting tasks as deemed necessary. Applicable accounting standards, company policies, as well as applicable federal, state and local reporting requirements must be followed. The candidate will collaborate with colleagues in Finance and other business members across the organization and therefore requires exceptional communication skills to effectively convey questions or research items.

Day to Day

  • Support the financial accounting team ensuring timely execution of accounting processes in an effective manner and in compliance with Company policies, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and U.S. GAAP and applicable federal reporting requirements.
  • Fixed asset tracking and depreciation expense recording.
  • Reconciliation and documentation over general ledger accounts assigned.
  • Reconciliation of certain banking transactions within different systems.
  • Responsible for documentation of accounting processes and procedures over areas under your purview.
  • Ensure the financial results are presented accurately and timely; with corresponding analytics.
  • Ensure timely and correct execution of accounting activities assigned.
  • Regular communication with team and management related to status of assignments.

Essentials

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the accounting / finance area
  • Financial systems experience, encompassing spreadsheet, data analysis including large volume data manipulation and reconciliation, and month-end accounting close processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. vlookups, pivots)
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills as wells as strong attention to detail, organized and time effective.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work cohesively with team members.
  • Capacity to manage multiple deliverables within agreed timeframes.
  • Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with peers and business as well as upper management.
  • Self-starter obtaining results through a focused and disciplined workstyle with the ability to work cohesively with team members. Capable of managing multiple deliverables within agreed timeframes.
  • Accrual-based accounting experience – (Journal Entries, debits/credits, t-accounts)
  • Ability to work onsite (2-3 days per week) in either local office – Wayne, PA or Johnston, IA

Applicable Pay Range

$49,800.00 - $74,700.00

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
