As the System Administrator, you will work autonomously to serve as the initial point of contact for technical support to system users. Responsibilities include diagnosing software, hardware, and network-related computer issues, conducting installations and computer configurations, and managing user accounts by creating and deleting them. Additionally, the Systems Administrator is expected to offer help desk support for telecommunications systems and contribute to various IT projects as required, spanning multiple corporate locations.
The role is fully remote. However, with clients based in Tampa, FL the candidate will need to be local to Tampa to comply with contractual obligations and be able to attend a client site if there are any issues requiring attendance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assess, prioritize, and address staff requests for technical assistance in a timely manner.
Offer technical support to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
Collaborate with senior administrators to uphold the integrity, reliability, and security of information systems, encompassing WAN/LAN.
Manage and troubleshoot network printers and printing equipment. Install and deploy computer hardware and software.
Identify and repair damaged equipment in-house when applicable.
Collaborate with vendors to obtain quotes for new computer hardware and software.
Foster positive relationships with users, actively seeking ways to enhance productivity by addressing their technology needs.
Utilize the Internet as a resource for research and troubleshooting.
Demonstrate the ability to swiftly learn and apply knowledge of multiple and custom applications.
Establish and update documentation guidelines within a knowledgebase.
SKILLS:
Thorough understanding of Windows 10 and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledgeable about Microsoft Windows server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policies.
Proficient in providing support for WAN/LAN systems.
Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach are crucial for success in the help desk role.
Demonstrated capability in systems support and development.
Able to quickly analyze and resolve problems, with the capacity to work independently.
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is advantageous.
Familiarity with VMware
Experience with network equipment, including firewalls, switching, and wireless, is an added advantage.
Strong willingness to learn and develop both individually and as part of a team is highly desirable.
