Integrity Lab

Technical Team Lead

Integrity Lab Greater Boston

About the job

The Integrity Lab creates intelligent technology to promote corporate integrity and culture. We develop analytic software for major multinationals, dynamic startups, and government agencies to foster integrity through rigorous, data-driven insights. We continually seek to design cutting-edge approaches to proactively mitigate some of the most challenging issues facing organizations, including fraud, bribery, and harassment.

We are looking for a Tech Team Lead who thrives in an innovation-focused environment and is passionate about solving real-world problems for our customers, delivering value continuously, and mentoring the next generation of engineers. Our rapidly growing Cambridge-based team has diverse expertise in engineering, data science, and regulatory law.

If you are a passionate and creative software engineer looking for a role where you can make a significant impact on a team and its organizational culture, we’ll look forward to speaking with you!

Some of the first problems that you will tackle

  • Taking a product from vision, through to design, and then finally into the hands of our users as we iterate
  • Designing and implementing core components of the system that future features and projects will rely on
  • Working in a sensitive environment in which secure handling of data is crucial
  • Define and take ownership of the necessary tools, resources, and systems we need to build and maintain a cross-platform web application
  • Oversee daily technical operations in a cross-functional team and mentor junior engineers on the team

What we’re looking for from you

  • At least 7 years of experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining production-quality Django application(s) and related tooling
  • Testing-first mentality to ensure that all components that are built are properly tested as part of an automated CI/CD pipeline
  • A strong bias towards automation, coupled with good judgment to recognize when automation is the wrong choice
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced agile development process
  • Ability to create “just enough” documentation so that knowledge can be efficiently transferred amongst a distributed team and provide the foundation for onboarding new engineers in the future
  • Someone who likes to roll their sleeves up but finds it just as rewarding to teach, coach, and mentor others in how to build better, higher quality software
  • Unbridled curiosity with the desire to continuously learn, embrace, and adopt new ideas, industry best practices
  • BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience

Some nice to haves

  • Familiarity with building SaaS products in a highly regulated environment
  • Experience or ability to learn DevOps tools (e.g. Kubernetes, Terraform), principles, and techniques to deliver high quality software
  • Knowledge of AWS and related cloud-based infrastructure platforms

What we will provide to you

  • Competitive compensation package
  • A collaborative environment with kind, dedicated, friendly people eager to make the world a better place
  • Paid time off
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance
  • 401k plan
  • A healthy work-from-home and in-office balanced hybrid schedule

We value diverse viewpoints, and we do not discriminate based on one’s race, creed, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, handicap, disability, veteran status, or military obligations.
