Technology Business Analyst – Contractor


KPMG Assignment Select is geared toward independent professionals interested in temporary or project-based work. Our team is comprised of highly trained third-party professional individuals who are in the right place, at the right time, with the right skillset.


KPMG is working through its partnership with MBO and is currently seeking a remote contractor.


Responsibilities:


  • Act as liaison between the business users and IT to document requirements around addressing specific business needs for IT-based solutions; evaluate new software products to determine their applicability to current and future IT environments
  • Elicit, compile, document, and manage clear and testable requirements by being an active leader, using a variety of elicitation methods such as interviewing, workshops, business process and workflow review
  • Analyze, translate, and communicate business requirements back to development team, through detailed BRDS or flow charts, diagrams, prototypes, use cases, and user stories
  • Perform requirements traceability throughout project lifecycle to validate that product meets the approved requirements; manage changing requirements and priorities; support the testing process and traceability through review of test cases


Qualifications:


  • Minimum three years of recent experience in similar role
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
  • Proficiency in business requirements gathering and documentation as well as process mapping techniques and methodologies; strong understanding of process mapping techniques, such as swimlane diagrams, flowcharts, and value stream mapping, is essential for effectively mapping processes
  • Highly effective communication skills with project team, stakeholders, and sponsor, and also with leadership, building trusted relationships through assignments
  • Technical aptitude and familiarity with Blueworks Live or similar platform and its features are crucial for performing process mapping; this includes knowledge of how to create and edit process maps, collaborate with team members, and utilize the platform's automation capabilities.
  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall methodologies; skilled in prompt engineering a plus

Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including market data, ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications (e.g. JD, technology), and specific location, for example. Additionally, applicants may be required to apply and become employed by a service provider utilized by KPMG, and final pay rate(s) and/or eligibility for additional benefits may be determined by such provider.


$60-75 (USD)
