The Vice President for Enrollment Management is responsible for building and leading a dynamic, data-driven, and goal-oriented team focused on undergraduate and graduate admissions. This role oversees the strategic development, implementation, and monitoring of the University’s student recruitment, acquisition, and enrollment initiatives.
As a member of the President’s Cabinet, this position is tasked with expanding Avila University’s market enrollments across undergraduate, graduate, online, adult learner, and international students.
Responsibilities
Create and execute a data-driven annual recruitment plan, integrating best practices in technology, campus-wide collaboration, and information management with university partners.
Utilize institutional, state, and federal financial aid resources to maximize the enrollment of new and returning undergraduate and graduate students, both domestic and international.
Uphold the University’s ethos in every aspect of work, ensuring that recruitment and enrollment strategies align with the institution's overarching goals and principles.
Collaborate with personnel to develop and grow dual enrollment opportunities.
Enhance enrollment services to deliver exceptional efficiency, courtesy, and professionalism to students, families, and the Avila University community.
Set and achieve long-term recruitment goals in coordination with campus executive leadership.
Provide a broad oversight and a hands-on management approach, with expertise in current best practices for student recruitment and enrollment.
Work closely with recruiting and marketing partners to closely monitor performance indicators and grow related partnership programs.
Provide leadership, development, and supervision for staff members.
Exhibit a strong understanding of marketing strategies in recruitment efforts.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, students, staff, and external stakeholders.
Develop and oversee the recruitment and enrollment budget.
Utilize current technology and implement new technologies to enhance market position and the efficiency of enrollment services.
Stay informed about national and regional best practices in enrollment management, especially at similar institutions.
Develop interim semester enrollment opportunities to help student’s complete degree requirements on times.
Participate in various University-wide committees.
Represent the University at state and national organizations related to admissions and enrollment.
Qualifications
Master’s degree with 10+ years working with in leadership surrounding college admissions and a sophisticated understanding of enrollment strategies, market research, admissions, financial aid, and student information systems.
Strong marketing acumen, analytical ability and the skill to develop and implement cross-departmental marketing plans and success in planning and implementing programs.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead personnel.
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal communication, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills, and success in working collaboratively with faculty, students and staff.
Understanding of the unique attributes of Avila University, including its values and commitment to transfer students, international students, commuter students, first-generation college students, and Pell Grant recipients.
