Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMware Aria Architect to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing VMware Aria Operations across a global infrastructure of 600+ hosts. This role requires a deep understanding of VMware technologies, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Architecture:
Lead the design and architecture of the VMware Aria solution in a lab environment before global deployment
Develop detailed implementation plans, architectural diagrams, and documentation
Ensure the architecture meets scalability, performance, and security requirements
Deployment and Implementation:
After lab testing, deploy VMware Aria Operations across a global infrastructure of 600+ hosts
Configure and optimize Aria Operations for high availability and performance
Implement initial dashboarding, alerts, and metric tuning to meet customer requirements
Operational Change Management (OCM):
Develop and execute OCM strategies to ensure smooth adoption and integration of VMware Aria Operations
Conduct training sessions and workshops for the customer’s IT team to ensure knowledge transfer and effective use of the solution
Monitoring and Optimization:
Create and configure dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide visibility into system performance and health
Perform metric tuning and adjustments to ensure accurate monitoring and reporting
Conduct regular performance assessments and implement improvements as needed
Collaboration and Support:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and security, to ensure seamless deployment and operation
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for VMware Aria Operations
Participate in regular status meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification or higher is required
Minimum of 10years of experience in designing and deploying VMware solutions, including VMware Aria Operations
Proven experience with global infrastructure deployments and large-scale environments
Strong understanding of VMware technologies, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and Horizon
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other VMware products and solutions
Previous experience in a remote or work-from-home position
Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
