VP/Head, Chemistry

SciPro is partnered with an innovative Biotech drug discovery organization in the Greater NYC metropolitan area. The person selected will serve as a key leader reporting into the C-Suite within this rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in driving drug discovery programs from discovery through late-stage development
• Grow scientific capabilities across design, synthesis and characterization of molecules
• Lead a team of 5 direct reports and collaborate with C-Suite leaders
• Supervise external vendors/partners

Qualifications:

• PhD & 17+ years of industry experience
• Experience leading small molecules from early discovery to IND-Enabling
• Experience leading teams of internal and external collaborators
• Understanding of multiparameter optimization approaches including predictive ADMET models, properties-based drug design) and structure-based design to drug discovery.
• Strong understanding of computational chemistry is a plus
