Water Resource Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Water Resources Engineer located in Thomasville, GA, within driving distance of Tallahassee, FL. Remote candidates will be considered if they live or are willing to relocate to North Florida or South Georgia.

Responsibilities

The Water Resources Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks, including but not limited to stormwater management, water quality analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, water distribution, and wastewater collection. Key responsibilities include:

Designing and preparing complete project documents.

Contributing to the continual improvement of processes and deliverables.

Assigning tasks to and directing engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.

Planning and coordinating detailed aspects of the engineering work.

Preparing scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.

Assisting with proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs.

Receiving general direction on key objectives.

Interacting with clientele, and traveling to clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others as needed.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Water Resources Engineering.

Proficient in Water Resource Management and Hydrology.

Strong skills in Stormwater and Stormwater Management.

Experience in water quality analysis.

Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to prepare detailed reports.

Experience designing and managing construction projects related to water resources.

Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD, ICPR4, ArcGIS, and Civil 3D.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Engineering (PE) License is preferred.
