Title: Senior Web Development Manager

Location: Onsite in Houston, TX

Comp Target: 160-180k + bonus

Are you a seasoned web development professional with a passion for digital retail? We are seeking a Senior Web Development Manager to join our dynamic team at a leading national retailer of outdoor and sports goods. In this role, you will lead the development of our digital platforms, ensuring an exceptional user experience for our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and maintain the highest standards of web development. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the development team
• Collaborate with business, engineering, and support teams
• Define and build reusable UI component libraries
• Ensure adherence to User-Centered Design principles
• Develop digital properties focused on exceptional user experiences
• Drive Code Quality initiatives and development schedules
• Act as the front-end technology expert for stakeholders
• Enhance UI architecture for usability and scalability
• Conduct unit and integration testing
• Stay updated on new technologies and trends
• Collaborate with Product and Project Management, Design, and QA teams

Requirements:

Must Have:

• Experience in retail/e-commerce development
• Experience leading technical teams
• Willingness to work onsite in Katy, TX

Experience:

• 5+ years in software development, especially with e-commerce sites
• 3+ years of IT experience in the retail industry preferred
• Skilled in responsive website design and cross-browser compatibility
• Proficient in HTML, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, and APIs
• Experience with PHP and/or JAVA
• Familiarity with CMS platforms such as AEM, WordPress, and/or Drupal
• Knowledge of frameworks like React, Bootstrap, and Angular
• Strong collaboration with UX designers, marketers, and product managers
• Solid understanding of UX, SEO/SEM, and accessibility best practices
• Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies
• A/B testing and Internet/mobile usability research experience is a plus
