The primary purpose is to support the delivery process of World Outreach (AWM and Charis) digital files to various outlets, broadcast channels, and external distribution partners with the highest quality, integrity, and excellence. To support the ingestion, file taxonomy, proper naming, and storage of valuable WO multimedia content and all audio/video digital media files as it relates to archiving, computing, and technology equipment for the World Outreach Translations Department.
Essential Duties
Support the day-to-day scheduling, file conversion, transcoding, media transfers, syndication and trafficking of all digital media material, performing quality assurance tests on all transcoded files to maintain accuracy and reliability, and meeting all delivery deadlines.
Prepare AWM and Charis digital media files before the creation of digital master exports, transcoding media to editable formats and correct frame rates, checking English subtitles, and closed captioning requirements.
Produce media formats of English and Translated media for dubbing, local and remote viewing, and distribution to other departments in the Ministry as needed
The World Outreach Publications & Translations Media Technician will back up all incoming media following established operating procedures.
Retrieve and transfer media files as requested by various World Outreach locations.
The World Outreach Publications & Translations Media Technician will operate renaming software based on established naming conventions and follow archiving and formatting guidelines for recorded media.
Generate and edit SOP/workflow charts.
Support digital media file capturing, encoding, tagging, and metadata route mapping to establish a successful centralized library of easily obtainable multimedia files
Stay attuned with industry best practices, networks and build relationships with other technology partners, suggest innovative solutions and guidance related to equipment and asset management processes. Continually upgrades knowledge and learns new technologies and processes.
Prepare International Translation files, master exports, and media management projects. Transcode media to the required formats and correct frame rates, checking version and specification requirements. Ensure successful and timely delivery of all assets requested.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of computers, especially Apple equipment is highly desired
Good verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Demonstrate understanding of aspect ratios, frame rates, and formats used in SD, HD, and 4K environments
Knowledge of the AWM and Charis media content preferred
Ability to work independently with tight deadlines; able to identify, prioritize and solve complex technology problems
Excellent attention to detail, multitasking, and planning skills
Able to work in a fast-paced team environment
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with peers, managers, the community, different nationalities, and a wide range of people with diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Must sign Statement of Faith.
A high school diploma or equivalent education is required
Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred
Must pass a background check
Experience
Experienced with media management systems and postproduction processes
Experienced with digital delivery systems such as FTP servers, AWS, Next Cloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer, and related cloud storage services.
Experienced with transcoding, encoding, and editing software, especially with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, Encore, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
