We love hearing stories such as this and having wonderful crew members who are inspiring the next generation of aviators! Thank you, First Officer Kevin Rosengren, for sharing.
Yesterday marked a special milestone in my career as a professional pilot—I had my first young visitor to the flight deck. Rylan, a 5-year-old airplane enthusiast, made my day a bit brighter. Even though we were running a little behind schedule, I couldn't resist welcoming him up front as we boarded. I showed him around and let his dad snap a picture of him wearing my hat in the captain's seat. Our flight attendant kindly handed me a pair of Air Wisconsin Airlines wings, which I proudly presented to Rylan, our wide-eyed, aspiring pilot. I've often written about the impact of mentors, but today I want to highlight the importance of taking the time to share your passion for your profession with young people. Perhaps it's because I was once that curious kid wanting to peek up front. Who knows—maybe one day, Rylan will be the one welcoming young enthusiasts to the flight deck.

We'd also like to recognize our Employee of the Quarter, Crew Services Supervisor Megan Timm. Megan developed a mentoring program to help her team and promote an environment where employees enjoy coming to work and know that their contributions are recognized. Congratulations, Megan!
