Dear young managers, hear me out! Your effort to protect your team from harsh realities will do more harm than good. During my conversation with a young TL of Fitelo, he shared how he is concerned about sharing the difficult feedback with one of his team members. I explained it to him. Leadership is not meant for people who want to: • Share filtered or sugar-coated feedback • Assign tasks requiring limited skills • Doesn’t challenge the comfort zone • Avoid difficult conversations • Be okay with mediocre work Instead, it is for people who: → Give control, but also hold their team accountable → Don’t compromise with work quality, but also lead from the front → Know when to push, but also offer support to adjust → Practice transparency, but also listen actively → Take decisions, but also communicate well with the team True leadership isn't about sugarcoating reality. It's about nurturing growth and celebrating milestones, even when the path is paved with tough decisions. #leadership #managers #teambuilding #anotherbansal
For a Leader, Its important to take decisions, but clearly communicating it to the team, is something that makes them a True Leader. Thanks for sharing Sahil !
Communication of the realities is very important for the team.
Love this

1moHonest feedback, even the tough stuff, is important for growth. Great leaders inspire their team by giving them the tools they need to improve.
