The UK has launched a groundbreaking trial for the world's first personalised melanoma vaccine, utilising the same mRNA technology as COVID-19 vaccines. This innovative jab is tailored to each patient's unique genetic tumour profile, aiming to significantly reduce the risk of cancer recurrence. Currently in Phase III trials, this personalised approach marks a significant step forward in cancer treatment.  Led by University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH), researchers are recruiting participants across the UK, targeting those who have had high-risk melanoma surgically removed within the last 12 weeks.
