⛔ Respect our sea lions at La Jolla Cove. Keep a 50-foot distance at all times, especially during this pupping season. Sea lions are protected marine mammals. Do not disturb them! San Diego Chief Park Ranger Ruiz reminded visitors that sea lions are wild animals weighing up to 800 pounds, and have a strong jaw and can bite if provoked. #SanDiego #LaJolla #LaJollaCove

I took visiting family there today, sadly, there was mostly people on the Cove shore, and we only spotted two sea lions in the water 😔

There are plenty of other beaches in walking distance in La Jolla to sit at. Leave seals alone.

Please keep your small children away from them and avoid photo opps because it’s dangerous.
