No one has figured it all out. And if someone tells you they have… RUN 🏃🏼♂️! As founders and business owners, we often find ourselves trapped in a cycle of anxiety and self-doubt, constantly questioning whether we’re on the right path. We end up asking a lot of people around us trying to validate our ideas only to find ourselves more confused. Every successful entrepreneur starts their journey from a place of uncertainty and grow by focusing on the right things and staying away from all the distractions. In this post, I’ve drawn some key insights from my experience that will help you in navigating your entrepreneurial journey: 1/ Stop focusing on creating a perfect product or waiting for everything to be perfect before launching or else the decision making process will paralyse your progress. Instead 💁🏼♂️ Prioritise understanding and addressing your customer’s needs. Nothing is more valuable than their feedback and should be used as a guide to further develop your product or service. 2/ Stop comparing your journey to others. Every business is unique and comparing your idea with someone else’s can lead to unnecessary stress causing depression. Instead 🙋🏼♂️ Stay curious and committed to learning new things. Whether it's industry trends, emerging technologies, or personal development which helps you stay ahead of the curve. 3/ Don’t burn yourself out by trying to do everything yourself and working 24x7. No one is going to steal that trophy away from you. Instead 🤦🏼♂️ Do what you can or hire a team that shares your vision and complements your skills. A strong team can help the business become successful. 4/ Don’t focus on scaling your business without building a solid foundation. Growing too quickly without a solid foundation can be dangerous. Instead 🤷🏼♂️ Stay flexible, pivot when necessary and scale when you’re ready. The market is constantly evolving and your ability to adapt will determine your long-term success. Before you go, remember that entrepreneurship is a journey filled with ups and downs and even the most successful entrepreneurs are learning something new every day. Do you have a lot of ideas but find it difficult to execute? Well, it’s probably because you have the fear of the unknown! Let me explain to you in detail as why this happens with most entrepreneurs. Starting a business or scaling it can be overwhelming especially when you have a swirl of ideas in your mind and are unsure about which one of these will work for you. Continuously thinking about these ideas and not taking any action leads to your mind telling you “What if.” It’s a natural response because your mind is designed to keep you out of danger but if you stop taking actions this fear of “What if” a.k.a. the unknown holds you back even further. Just taking the first step allows you to identify and prioritise the resources you have in hand, be it financial, people or technological. 4/ Taking the first step and implementing ideas provides real-time feedback that helps you learn and adapt. This practical experience is invaluable in refining your business model and strategy. 5/ Most people have ideas, but in reality very few take action. Taking the first step will clearly differentiate you from others, positioning you as a proactive and determined entrepreneur. 6/ Every step you take will bring clarity, making subsequent steps easier leading to measurable progress turning your long-term vision into achievable goals. Remember, if you want to walk a 1000 steps you can’t just do it. You need to take one step at a time which means taking 1 step a 1000 times to complete 1000 steps. 💡 Here’s a tip: ➥ Start with a simple task related to your business idea. ➥ Test it, validate it and build on it. ➥ The key is to keep moving forward. Do you ever feel stuck, like your business has hit a wall? Honestly, the problem is not what you think is! I know as founders or entrepreneurs, we face plenty of challenges but the difference between those who thrive and those who get discouraged often comes down to one key factor i.e. Mindset 🧠! But don’t worry, this mindset problem can be fixed easily and if you make a conscious effort, I promise it will change your life. 1. You need to embrace challenges as opportunities: ➡ Every challenge you face can be looked at in two different ways; a problem you need to fix or an opportunity to innovate. If you look at it as a problem, you’ll face one problem after another. On the other hand if you see it as an opportunity, you gain one opportunity after another. ✅ Shift your focus from seeing challenges as an opportunity rather than another problem. 2. It’s important that you focus on efforts over results: ➡ The truth is that the results are not in your hands. I share this with most people I meet, especially when they’re worried whether they will succeed or no. All the energy is wasted into analysing the consequences that eventually leads to complete inaction and definitely no success. ✅ Ideally your job is to focus on your actions and give 100%. 3. Invest your time and money in learn continuously: ➡ Every setback or failure is a great opportunity to learn. Dedicate time to learn about your customers, competition and industry by taking feedback and doing research. Also, engage in reading books, articles and publications to expand your perspective. ✅ The more you learn, the more equipped you are to tackle new problems and adapt to changing markets. 4. Surround yourself with growth-minded people: ➡ The company you have matters. Join mentorship programs or networking groups not to gossip! But where you can meet like minded people on a weekly or bi-weekly basis who can empower you, guide you and keeps you moving!   ✅ We are social beings! We've created about 20 brands in the last 5 years which is not a lot to be honest. However, they've all been a journey for me and my clients to remember. It's something that makes us feel fulfilled. The one thing I've learnt is that you need to find more ways to reach to as many people as possible rather than feeling frustrated because the few people you reached out to said NO. Have you ever questioned 🤔 yourself about who you are? Why you’re doing what you’re doing? and What really is your purpose? Well I have and these questions can be daunting 😮! We don’t really wonder 🤷♂️ about these things for a few years of our lives after we are born 👶 because we are still in the innocent phase. We are observing, learning and absorbing everything that is happening around us. As we start growing a little older 👦, we begin to interact with different types of people, different kinds of situations and circumstances through which our mind creates something that we believe to be the reality. However, this reality evolves as we grow even older 👨 and interact with more number of people, situations and circumstances. In this reality, there are all sorts of emotions 😶 and traumas 😒 that one goes through and most of the innocence 😇 is lost here. We stop observing. We stop learning. We avoid interacting with people and being in situations we don’t like. We become angry and frustrated when we can’t deal with situations and circumstances. We engage in substances that make us feel good about ourselves and avoid everything that is confrontational. To discover your purpose, you need to question everything that comes your way whether it’s a person, situation or circumstance to find your answers. And when you do, three things will happen: 🙇♂️ You’ll surrender and gain your innocence back. 🧠 You’ll build the ability to deal with people and things. 🧡 You’ll experience peace like you’ve never experienced. Failures are a part of your journey 🚶♂️; they are not the END 🙅♂️! (Well, I thought they were but I found myself alive the next day and the day after and also after that day). Honestly, nothing ever ended. But I discovered something interesting: Fear of failure ironically comes from trying to create something that is absolutely perfect. This means you’re trying to create something that no one can ever criticize because if someone did it will completely break you down. Sounds unreal right? Well, that’s true. There’s someone who is always going to criticize and it is not your job to make everyone happy. (Unless they are your customers, then maybe). On the other hand, fear of failure is great as it allows you to gauge the consequences of your actions. It allows you to judge your products or services before you put them out in the market. It also allows you to accept criticism and tell yourself, “What can I do to make my product or service even better or is there something else I can try my hands on?” Being in constant fear of failure can slowly lead to inaction, however a slight fear of failure can help you steadily grow in the right direction. Fear of failure also comes from attachments where our mind goes “What if I lose everything” and meeting ‘Karma’ (the man in the photo) was a realization of that. I had lost almost everything of what I had and met him during my ride through the Spiti Circuit back in 2017. He runs a small homestay in the middle of Kaza, lives the most chilled life and also made me the world’s best coffee. Why is it so important to understand your self-worth? Because if we don’t understand and value ourselves, then how can we expect others to value us the way we want them to!   I have found 5 ways that can help you recognise your value and build a better version of yourself.   ☑ Self-Reflection: Reflect on your thoughts and actions. Observe within yourself how they make you feel. Eliminate any thoughts and actions that make you feel low or bad and encourage thoughts and actions that empower you in a positive way.   ☑ Recognise your uniqueness: Write down your strengths and weaknesses, what are you good at and what do you love to do?! Find out how you to use your strengths along with what you love to do to help other people.   ☑ Focus on your goals: Once you have set your goals, stay away from everything that takes away your attention for a long period of time. Take actions that are aligned towards achieving your goals.   ☑ Set Boundaries: This one is my favourite! As men, we have the duty to bring growth and stability where ever we go whether it’s work, family or personal life and recently I have realised that we cannot bring either growth or stability till the time we haven’t found a good way to balance our lives.   Honestly, I believe growth and stability are both a trick word, which unfortunately in our minds coincide with just money. It is often said that if you keep earning more money means you are growing and the more money you have the more stable you are.   Well, "there’s nothing wrong until things go wrong." IYKYK!   Going through anxiety and depression and feeling like shit, 3 years ago I decided to do something about it and these are the three things I do without fail to live a happy and balanced life.   1️⃣ Take care of my Body: Our body is the field of activity and without this body it is impossible to do anything physically. It’s practically a machine that needs to be moved constantly as well as rest to recover and do it all over again the next day.   ✔ I exercise for at least 30 to 45 minutes a day. ✔ I ensure to walk anywhere between 5,000 to 10,000 steps a day. ✔ I engage in physically activities I love, such as climbing at least 3 to 4 times a week. ✔ I cook my own food, eat what I need and in the right proportions. ✔ I try to sleep at a fixed time every day and sleep the right amount.   2️⃣ Taking care of my Mind: Just like our body needs physical exercises, our mind needs mental exercises. Being engaged in work, meeting new people, having fruitful conversations, reading, writing, learning something new, etc. are all a part of mental exercises.   ✔ I ensure that my day to day work happens without fail to achieve my daily goals. ✔ I write one piece on content every day. ✔ I consume and engage with 10 to 12 pieces of content on a daily basis. ✔ I write work-related questions in my book that I do not have an answer for and park them there. ✔ I meet and exchange thoughts with at least 10 to 15 new people every week.   3️⃣ Taking care of my soul: Our body and mind both exist because of our soul and being spiritually connected reinforces our belief system to why we exist here. Meditation, Yoga, Praying, Chanting, Mantra Japa, offering obeisance, studying religions texts, etc. are all the activities that take care of your soul.     ✔ Every morning I offer my obeisance to the SUN. ✔ Next, I offer my obeisance to the god. ✔ I do one Japa Mala and chant the mantra every day. ✔ I read some religious texts every day either in form of Stotras or Sholkas. ✔ I say NO to everything that doesn’t align with my purpose.   I would love to know what are a few things that has helped you guys create a balance in your life?! ~ Hi, I am Haarshit Gala, and I help visionary entrepreneurs and business owners build thoughtful brands.   Not sure about what you’re doing?
