Miami University and Miami University Farmer School of Business alum Johnny Sirpilla (MU '88 in Accountancy), Founder and CEO of Encourage, LLC. and Co-Founder and Board Member of Canton OH-based Society Brands, will be on campus today for a special presentation, "Life is Hard, but I'll be OK," based on his best-selling book, "Life is Hard but I'll Be OK: The Power of Hope Emerging through Pain and Learning to Live with Gratitude," about the challenges that he and his wife Susan faced in starting a family. Johnny, who retired as President and Chief Business Development Officer of Camping World in 2017, speaks regularly to groups on the importance of managing thoughts, internal honest reflection to develop meaningful professional and personal relationships and re-framing each challenge in your life as an opportunity for self-development and growth. He has been an active community leader serving as Chairman of the Board for the United Way of Greater Stark County, Chairman of the Board for Stark County Catholic Schools, Executive Committee Member and Board Member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, board member of Hall of Fame Health, and board member of The Pregnancy Support Center. Johnny's presentation will be held today, Tuesday April 2, from 6 - 7 pm ET in the John Dolibois Room at the Shriver Center (701 E. Spring Street, Oxford OH) on the campus of Miami University.
