Founder/Executive Director at Venice Arts

It’s been an incredible partnership with NBCUniversal, whose Creative Impact Lab offers such a great model for corporate/nonprofit collaboration. And congratulations to our Apprentices and their mentors: stellar job! Hoping the next story is about Derek winning gold in Paris!

Arts Non-profit at Venice Arts

NBC Sports is running this :30 spot, produced by Venice Arts’ apprentices, across all of its broadcast and streaming platforms to market the Paris Paralympics! The spot promotes the Challenged Athletes Foundation through the story of athlete Derek Loccident. Derek was a collegiate football player who faced a life-altering accident that severed his left foot during his sophomore season. Undeterred by adversity, he transitioned to track and field with a prosthetic leg provided by Össur and the Challenged Athletes Foundation. Now, he’s competing for a spot on the world’s biggest athletic stage. This is the third PSA created by Venice Arts’ apprentices working with NBCUniversal’s Creative Impact Lab. The lab is designed to broaden access to the industry for the next generation of diverse creative talent while helping nonprofits such as the Challenged Athletes Foundation tell their stories. #CreativeImpactLab #venicearts #Paralympics #TeamUSA #creativeequity #nbcuniversal
