🌸Two months ago, I was honored to attend the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth Global Summit in Washington, D.C. In this intimate, Chatham House-inspired gathering, I was blown away by the sheer inspiration, dedication, and purpose driven by the community. #Artists, #economists, political #leaders, heads of state, and foundation leaders united to chart a path towards a more inclusive, equitable, and thriving world. 🤝🏽I reconnected with old friends and collaborators, and formed new friendships and partnerships during these powerful two days. Elif Nisa Polat and I have since shared stories, celebrated birthdays, explored work opportunities, and collaboration on a content series. 👯♀️ David Satterthwaite and I had a wonderful call last week where I got to learn deeper about the wonderful work of Perkins School for the Blind, and my exchange with Smita Jain and Shanna Crumley continue to inspire me in my reflection on leveraging #data for #social good. 🎶 A standout moment was Kiran Gandhi’s incredible performance, showcasing her latest project with Stanford University, "Sounds of Antarctica." It was a powerful blend of #art and #activism, that further underscored the power of creative expression in driving change. Rapper, entrepreneur, and community leader Brandon (STIX) Salaam-Bailey delivered a powerful presentation on the mission and #impact of his foundation, Think Watts. If you have not heard of it, I highly suggest you to check out the incredible work they are doing! Hilary Smith from NBCUniversal spoke passionately about their Creative Impact Lab and the crucial role of corporate social responsibility. Leading WeCare Impact, I am a fervent believer that art and community matter, and innovation must serve the needs of the latter. Other Key insights from the summit included Cristina Junqueira’s vision of technology democratizing financial planning (Nubank) and Manu Chopra’s emphasis on technology amplifying human intent and capacity (Karya) Reeta Roy, CEO of Mastercard Foundation highlighted the talent opportunities in #Africa, advocating for investments in #digitalinfrastructure #education and #skills. Melinda French Gates discussed closing the #gender #wealth gap, emphasizing the importance of capitalizing on women's entrepreneurial potential. Her commitment of $1 billion to support this cause, which is close to her heart, is bound to be a powerful enabler. ❤️🔥 As Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth recently announced its #AI for #Inclusion Open Call Challenge, I reflected on the lasting impact of these gatherings. These connections, insights, and collaborations are pivotal in driving our collective mission forward. 🚀 My heartfelt gratitude to all who continue to inspire, push, and motivate me to show up and never give up on our dreams. Together, we can change the world for the better. 🫶🏽

This sounds like an incredibly inspiring summit! The focus on collaboration between such diverse groups (#Artists, #economists, etc.) to tackle global challenges is powerful. Kiran Gandhi's performance with Stanford on Antarctica sounds particularly fascinating - the blend of art and activism is so important.
