Yesterday, we were delighted to take part in the launch event of ASPIRE for Lung Cancer, held in Singapore. ASPIRE is a collaborative multilateral effort dedicated to improving lung cancer outcomes in the Asia-Pacific region through policy reforms. I will be representing Amgen, alongside other fellow colleagues to help advance the coalition’s ambition to drive meaningful policy change for patients living with lung cancer. I’m happy to share that I have been promoted to International Oncology Health Policy Director at Amgen

Earlier this week, it was a pleasure to moderate the session “Genomic tumour testing: looking into the future” at the recent European Cancer Organisation Community 365 Roundtable on Genomic Tumour Testing. The panel shone a light on major policy developments at the European level that are shaping future access and uptake of genomic testing at the National level. One key issue discussed was the In Vitro Diagnostics Regulation (IVDR), which could hinder access to genomic tumour testing across the Union, and where policy solutions are urgently needed. Thank you to my co-chair, Mark Lawler and to the panel experts, Audrey Wolf, Prof. Maeve Lowery, Michele Calabro', for participating in this important conversation.

Looking forward hearing Amgen's Nicholas Cosenza's panel discussion on “The Upcoming Revisions to the EU Pharmaceutical Regulations and What it Means for Cancer”, on the segment “Unmet Medical Need. How to define it better? How might the cancer sector benefit?”.  This conversation is important as it is essential that any definition of unmet medical needs in the #EUpharmastrategy has a patient-centered approach that considers the severity and burden of #cancer on patients, families and caregivers. Such a pleasure to be surrounded by so many inspiring people to discuss the future of cancer care in Europe. It is essential that we work together to improve cancer pathways as a whole, from prevention to palliative care. As mentioned repeatedly during the #EuropeanCancerSummit, to make this a reality we have to move from opinions to science-led, data-backed policy.
