I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Principal Product Manager Technical at Amazon!

The biggest launch of all is Alexa Event Messenger which creates a two way communication channel between developers and Alexa Smart Properties by delivering near real time events to an Amazon SNS topic. These events enable developers to sequence property creation and device setup workflows which saves our customers time in deploying devices in properties. It also enables them to gain insight into operations, like an Automation completing, so that they can handle the operation completion accordingly (e.g. retry on failure). This was a huge, huge, huuuuuge effort and a sprint to get it out on Nov 17th, which was a great birthday gift for me. Huge huge huge kudos to the mastermind behind this Didem Gokbulut and Pradhuman Swami Harsh Agarwal Josiah Chapman Fenil Jain Digesh C. Leeann McCulley Nachiappan Chidambaram and the entire Alexa Smart Properties (I don't have all team members on my LinkedIn) and Alexa Connected Devices team that poured countless hours

We launched our most recent Alexa Smart Properties Console Widget on the 16th of November to enable customers to setup Inbound Calling and enable Drop-in Preferences through the Alexa Smart Properties Console. Previously customers had to use APIs to setup Inbound Calling and enable Drop-in Preferences, which is difficult for smaller tech teams to do compared to using a web UI. These components are dynamically loaded and are on a different release compared to our ASP Console which paid off big time as we were deploying many bug fixes. Its funny we still are using the same fundamental concepts from the original YUI3 days and Yahoo Homepage :). After that, we made it easy for Alexa Smart Properties customers to calculate the return on investment and improve performance with new analytics for Communications and Proactive Campaigns. These analytics are available through a UI dashboard in the Alexa Smart Properties console. The data can also be exported to CSV for offline analysis. Huge congrats to Arijit Saha Shubham Tyagi Pradhuman Swami Fenil Jain Salman Malik Prasanna Gopinath and team for leading these launches.

Going to go on a bit of a posting spree for all my launches this year. I started off the year making developer onboarding easy for Alexa Smart Properties with the new Administration page. This saves developers 1-2 weeks from onboarding to Alexa Smart Properties and is just a start of how we see the ASP Console evolving in the future.
