I’m so excited to announce ETS’s partnership with SHRM to develop and deliver a skills-based talent ecosystem for the workforce. Today, continuous skill acquisition and measurement are not just aspirations, but necessities. More than ever before, people recognize the need for skills development to remain relevant in today’s working world. According to the ETS Human Progress Report, 75% of respondents expressed concern that their skills would become outdated as technology evolves. Our partnership will offer several elements key to addressing these future workforce needs — from individualized career insights, personalized upskilling recommendations, to a SHRM-developed skills-based hiring certification for HR professionals. Equipped with this knowledge, we will make opportunities for upskilling apparent and accessible to the workforce as well as HR managers, crucial to promoting accessibility and retention across industries. Every day it becomes increasingly clear to me that skill development — and the measurement of those skills — is paramount to power human progress. With this partnership, we’re taking a huge step forward to answering the call of the workforce’s needs and desires.
