Google Marketing Live (GML) Singapore wrapped this week!! Discussions centered on AI’s ability to revolutionize business efficiency & profitability, with predictive & generative AI projected to grow 20% and 28% in APAC respectively by 2030. As we usher in a new era of #AI, the days of one-size-fits-all marketing are over. With a staggering 76% of Southeast Asian shoppers using at least 5 online channels to make purchases, brands must adopt new ways to engage with consumers, and AI can help! Our commitment to empowering brands in unlocking new marketing possibilities means AI-powered tools such as Performance Max can take the grunt work out of content creation, as it generates high-quality, brand-aligned creatives that reach massive audiences at scale. We went deeper at our Think Media & Entertainment (M&E) event, where I spoke with APAC marketing & business leaders, and we explored strategies to elevate campaign relevance and effectiveness: 📺Ride the growth momentum of Connected TV: Connected TV is the fastest growing device on which people watch YouTube with more than 200 million users across APAC. This trend presents a significant opportunity for brands to connect with audiences in their living rooms. 🕑Generate relevant ad content with Gemini: 75% of premium content viewership is driven by Asian content categories. This highlights the importance of cultural relevance. Marketers can  improve the Ad Strength of their campaigns by tapping on our Gemini mode in Google Ads to generate relevant ad content for their campaigns. 💭Understand the consumer journey: Consumers select media platforms based on their personal viewing context. Marketers who grasp these unique viewing moments can foster deeper audience connections, while exploring ways to reach new audiences during other moments. Interesting to see #GMLSingapore showcased how AI can transform marketing in a region known for its diverse online channels and tech-savvy consumers. AI tools like Performance Max can automate content creation for personalized messaging across platforms, while Gemini helps ensure cultural relevance in ads. This resonates well as Southeast Asian shoppers prioritize authenticity and local connections. I think the ability of AI to analyze vast amounts of data opens doors to even deeper personalization. Imagine AI anticipating a customer's needs and recommending products seamlessly across their preferred channels. This level of hyper-personalization could be a game-changer for brands in Southeast Asia.
