Serving through the 2024-25 school year, Dr. Cummings continues to be a guiding force for transformative change in our district and beyond. Under Dr. Cummings' leadership, South Bend Schools have soared to new heights: 📚 Literacy & Graduation: Achieved the highest rates in a decade. 💻 Tech Access: Provided free and accessible internet for all students. 🎓 College Readiness: Expanded dual credit opportunities and free college courses. 🛠️ Career Education: Enhanced Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities. 🏫 School Safety & Staff Support: Led a successful $220 million referendum improving school safety, raising teacher salaries, and expanding Pre-K programs. 🤝 Social Support: Ensured a social worker in every school to support our students’ well-being.
