In case you missed it, you'll soon be able to find your Tiles using satellites. It's absolutely wild that this is possible. Bluetooth communications all the way to space with Hubble Network. Early in the Tile days we were kicking around the idea of flying drones over cities to be able to find people's Tiles. Never did I think that satellites were a possible option. https://lnkd.in/gnH4ezA7

One of the reasons I love fundraising is how much you learn in the conversations with VCs. Even if you don’t actually need to raise, it can be helpful to learn about your own business and what currently matters to investors.

We are default alive at Avocado and raising a seed round. I cannot tell you how good it feels to be raising money only to accelerate the company, not to just stay alive. Hardware is way harder than software for so many reasons.

For pre-Series A companies, there are two only things you have to do: 1. Get to product market fit 2. Don't die Having a small team makes both of these much, much easier. Talk to customers, don't spend money, pound it out until you're there.

YCombinator's mantra is “Build something people want.” It is not “Build something people need.” There is a subtle, but very important distinction between the two. People will always buy what they want. They only sometimes buy what they need.
